About us
Connecting Communities.Supporting Local.
Live Local. Trust Local. is more than a business directory. We're a community-powered platform connecting Bolton residents with independent businesses, trusted tradespeople and professional services — while creating real digital enterprise opportunities for young people through Genuine Futures CIC.
Why we exist
When local businesses thrive, communities grow stronger
Starting in Bolton, our mission is to make it easier to find, connect with and support local businesses — keeping more opportunity within our communities. Every search, listing and spotlight feeds the same loop: visibility for businesses, skills and openings for young people.
Supplied programme imagery
Real people doing real directory work
The platform's youth-enterprise promise is visible in the day-to-day work: young people building, checking and improving real local business content.

Directory in action

How we work
Three things we hold ourselves to
Honest by default
Free means free. Verified means defined. We never imply vetting we haven't done, and never publish without consent.
Safeguarded throughout
Every youth activity is supervised, with consent and content approval built in — for young people and businesses alike.
Built on proven rails
The directory keeps the tools businesses already rely on — member accounts, profiles, plans and search — so nothing familiar is lost.
Powered by Genuine Futures CIC
One directory. Two kinds of growth.
Businesses get found. Young people get skilled. Bolton keeps the value.
