More Than a Car Wash: Young People Building Skills, Confidence and Their Futures
Following their progress
The journey so far
We follow each story over time — what they wanted to learn, what they actually did, what changed, and what they want to do next.
Where it began
October 2026What they wanted to learn
Real skills on a real job — customer service, professional car cleaning and valeting, teamwork, and how a small local enterprise actually runs.
What they actually did
Young people joined the We Shine Any Car team at the White Horse in Harwood, Bolton — welcoming customers, learning professional washing and valeting, and helping to run and promote the weekly Thursday pop-up.
More updates follow as this journey continues — check back to see progress over time.
